Students reflected on the BIG IDEAS (or underlying messages) that were presented by the installations and responded to them through a variety of media, from painting and collage to photography and ceramics. The artwork on display here was created by students in grades 10, 11 and 12 and draws inspiration from eight of the Vancouver Biennale installations, exploring important BIG IDEAS such as freedom of expression, making the ordinary extraordinary and immigration and settlement.
