Susana Williams is a musician, producer and composer based out of the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia, Canada. Her musical career began in Caracas, Venezuela at the age of 13. As a vocalist and percussionist, her credits include several International Music Festivals. She has shared the stage with internationally award-winning artists Arturo Sandoval, Poncho Sanchez, Johnny Rivera, and Alex Cuba. Susana is the vocalist of the largest Latin-Jazz music orchestra in western Canada, Goma Dura and the legendary Latin band Rumba Calzada. She is the Musical Director of “Raices y Alas Flamenco” the avant-garde experimental flamenco company based in Vancouver, B.C and a film and TV composer for Melodie (Australia)."

Susana's solo show is based on looping several instruments, to create and produce music on the spot. A wide range of instruments are used, including drums, guitars, keyboards, and layers of vocal harmonies. From Rock to Pop, Latin to Classics, Susana sings songs in English and Spanish. Throughout her show, Susana offers students and teachers a diverse and creative experience. In addition to storytelling, her performances include information about her roots in Latin America, her gender identity, and musical journey.

Susana Williams leads a music and diversity residency program that uses music as a tool for cultural expression and social change. Through workshops, performances, and discussions, students explore diverse musical traditions and personal identities, and are empowered to embrace their own cultural backgrounds and appreciate the diversity of others. The goal is to inspire students to become advocates for greater diversity and representation in the arts, while also developing their musical skills and creativity.
