I am a contemporary multi-disciplinary outsider artist who believes in the healing properties of the natural environment. I have painted landscapes in abstract as an expression of my connection with nature and its ability to provide me peaceful inspiration. As organisms on this earth I believe we are interconnected with nature and highly interdependent. But as the psycho-social environment we live in today gets ever increasingly complex its effects on us are becoming more pervasive, corroding and sophisticated. However the energy, peace and serenity of our natural surroundings can provide a way of grounding our senses and healing our minds. I try to capture the interrelationship between my mind and nature as I see and feel it; it’s an expression of my soul captured on a physical medium and in a point in time. Going through the process in itself contributes to balance. I have been expanding my creative expressions in multi-disciplinary forms including writing, puppetry, storytelling performance music, eco arts and poetry.  As a grassroots artist and producer of community engaged events, I work many different groups who share similar values and who's intent is to elevate for common good. Most recently as a teaching artist I bring the knowledge and experience I have learned on my journey to young audiences

Join Red Harry and Pat the Park Ranger in a Virtual Puppetry Performance from the Parks Heritage Centre in Mount Seymour Provincial Park in Tsleil Waututh Territory. Audiences will enjoy a virtual and interactive performance of Cheetwoot the Bear. Materials will be sent to classrooms for students to work on and interact live with the show. This performance is a collaboration between J Peachy Gallery, Treasure Box Puppet Theatre and the Elders Council for Parks.

Fish Leather Basics for Kids Discover the fascinating craft of making fish leather and learn about the importance of salmon to the ecology and cultures on the coast. In this hands on workshop the young ones will learn about the lifecycle of salmon in a unique and fun way. The artist will lead the workshop and share knowledge through storytelling and puppetry. Each participant will learn the basic steps of making fish leather (de-scaling, tanning and softening), which is usually a multi-day process. Wood Crafting Basics for Kids In the modern times of digital media saturation, this workshop will help young learners practice on concentration and focus. This hands on experience will cover the basics of wood crafting including sanding, wood burning and whittling. Depending on the age group, participants will work on a small wooden craft project, such as a bird, fish or mini canoe paddle.
