Bushido is a duo of Japanese musicians (Alcvin and Nori) who specialize in traditional Japanese musical instruments. "Bushido" is a Japanese word which translates as ”Children of Song”, and expresses their passion for Japanese instruments (WA-gakki) and folk music of Japan. They approach music the way all children do: deeply embodying the spirit of joyfulness and experimentation in the process of learning. Alcvin Ryuzen Ramos is a recognized grandmaster of the Japanese bamboo flutes (shakuhachi and fue) as well as being multi-instrumentalist playing shamisen lute, and has dedicated his life to learning Japanese musical instruments. Nori Akagi is a dynamic taiko drummer and percussionist / multi-instrumentalist who has been exploring a variety of percussion styles around the world for many years. Nori and Al have inspired thousands of people all over Canada and around the world with their love of WA-gakki, Japanese musical instruments and music.
